Did you Know?

Painter Lucenzo had several sets of false teeth made for him throughout his tumultuous career. Contrary to popular belief, none of the sets were made from marble. The famous "Crimson Set" was carved from hippopotamus and elephant ivory, held together with springs of gold. The hippo ivory was used for the plate, into which real human teeth and also bits of horses and donkeys teeth were inserted. Dental problems left Lucenzo in constant discomfort, for which he took crystal methamphetamine, and this distress may be apparent in many of the portraits he painted during his "Acid Experimental Phase" - most notably, Runner at Dusk with Satan Beard, and Verbal Assault on Box of Coco Crispys, which pictured a young Lucenzo screaming at a box of his favorite breakfast cereal. He later went on to receive the Lars Ulrich Lifetime Achievement Award for the painting.
