Deep Impressions
The bubblin’ thoughts leave me speechless. The race up to the top floor takes the air from my lungs. I fiddle with the key and burst into the musty room. Something has changed, the air has shifted, some unknown vapor was left behind by a phantom. I trace the tiny wet bare footprints to the window and look out at the street scene below. Oh what a sight to behold – even now, after all these days I can watch and marvel. I open the window to clear the air. Something moves in the shadow behind me – I quickly dive behind the couch peaking my head up to catch a glimpse. Nothing - no one is there. I guess I just need to calm my nerves - so I walk to the kitchen and go through the motions that a normal man of my age would go through. I rearrange the contents of my wallet, I think of the true human connection, I think that something stirs within me - and I know now that I want to share my dreams.
